About Dominic Mc Hugh
After qualification at The Middlesex Hospital Medical School, Mr McHugh underwent specialist training in ophthalmology at St Thomas’ Hospital and then Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.

He also undertook a period of research into the applications of semi-conductor diode lasers in ophthalmology, for which he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine by the University of London.

He was appointed Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at King’s College Hospital in 1994 where he performs vitreoretinal and cataract surgery. He also is actively involved in the management of patient with medical retinal problems such as diabetic retinopathy and age related macular degeneration.



Private Practice

Mr McHugh’s consulting room is at No. 73 Harley Street, London W1 in a building that dates back to1820. Before its medical associations, it was the residence of William Gladstone, who was Queen Victoria’s Prime Minister.
